West Receives Distinguished Leadership Award
The Alumni Board of Leadership Magnolia is proud to announce Margaret West as the 2014 recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award. Mrs. West is the Chief Executive Officer of the Magnolia Regional Medical Center where she has served in that capacity since 2009. She joined the Magnolia Hospital in 1986 as the Director of Nutrition Services and assumed the position of Chief Ancillary Officer in 1998. Prior to joining Magnolia Hospital, she served in various positions in Little Rock and Pine Bluff.
Mrs. West completed her undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas and an internship at UAMS. She received a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana Tech University. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American and Arkansas Hospital Association and the American and Arkansas Dietetic Association. Locally, she is involved with the Columbia County Health Coalition, Magnolia Rotary and Leadership Magnolia Alumni. She has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the South Arkansas Women’s Network, and Member of the Year from the Arkansas Dietetic Association.
Margaret and her husband Dee, reside in Magnolia. The have three children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
