Tax Season Discount

January 1 - April 30

What is the Tax Season Discount?
Tax Season Discount is the 25% reduction of the patient's outstanding balance if the entire balance on the account is paid in full by April 30. It is offered to all individuals with an outstanding balance on accounts created for care delivered prior to December 31.

What accounts can I apply the Tax Season Discount?
Any private pay balance incurred prior to December 31 is eligible for the Tax Season Discount. Private pay means the balance remaining after primary and secondary insurances have been paid. This also includes uninsured and non-covered charges. Accounts that have been placed with an external collection agency do not qualify for this discount.

How do I receive the Tax Season Discount?
Individuals that qualify for this discount will have a statement or letter mailed to the address we have on file. To take advantage of the Tax Season Discount, call our Collections department at 870-235-3183 from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, and on Saturday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

How do I know my eligible balance?
If you have questions about the amount eligible for the discount, please contact the MRMC Collections Department at 870-235-3183. We will be glad to answer questions and provide you with details regarding your eligible balance.

How can I make payment?
For your convenience, we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover credit cards, as well as Visa debit cards. You may either call us with your credit card information or write in on your statement pay stub and mail to us. Payments can also be made by check in person at the MRMC Business Office. You may also arrange for payments by mail by calling the MRMC Collections Department at 870-235-3183.


Discounts may not be offered pursuant to this policy to any individual who is a federal health care program beneficiary without compliance with federal requirements, including a good faith showing of financial need. Discounts may only be offered on health care items and services that are of a type routinely provided by the Medical Center. This policy is subject to cancellation or termination without notice at any time. The decision will be made annually regarding the offering of this discount. The statements during the period that the discount is offered will include a notice regarding the 25% Tax Season Discount. However, it is the responsibility of the individual to notify the Collections Department of intent to take advantage of the discount and to confirm the balance due after the discount is applied. Payment must be received prior to April 30 in order to be eligible for discount. This discount may not be combined with other discounts offered. Only one discount may be applied per account. The Business Office shall retain the documentation required under this policy.
