Courtney is a Magnolia native and a graduate of Magnolia High School. She began her college career as a member of the Southern Arkansas University Lady Muleriders volleyball team. She then graduated from the University of Arkansas School for Medical Sciences School of Nursing in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she worked in various hospital and physician clinic settings until returning to school. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care in 2016 from Northwestern State University. She has used the past three years working with local physicians to provide the highest level of care to nursing home patients in Magnolia, El Dorado, and Taylor. She has also served as a visiting professor at Southern Arkansas University School of Nursing.
Courtney is a member of the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, In 2018 she was voted to the position of District 4 representative for the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association. She is also a member of the Columbia County Animal Protection Society and grew up working alongside her father in his veterinary office. She has been a volunteer coach at the Magnolia Boys’ and Girls’ Club and is a past member of the Magnolia Blossom Festival 5K committee.
Courtney is the mother of one son, Colton.
