Men of all ages should schedule a wellness exam with a primary care provider on a yearly basis. The following is a checklist of other annual screenings recommended for men by age.
Ages 20-39
- Blood pressure checked every year
- Rectal exam every year
- Physical exam with blood tests and urinalysis every three years
- EKG at age 30 and every four years thereafter
- TB skin test every five years
- Tetanus booster every ten years
- STD screenings for sexually active adults (who consider themselves at risk)
Ages 40-49
- Blood pressure checked every year
- Rectal exam every year
- PSA blood test at age 40 and every year
- Hemoccult at age 40 and every year
- Chest X-Ray at age 45 and every year (discuss frequency with your physician)
- Physical exam with blood tests and urinalysis every two years
- EKG every two years
- TB skin test every five years
- Tetanus booster every ten years
- Testosterone screening (discuss frequency with your physician)
- STD screening for sexually active adults (who consider themselves at risk)
Ages 50+
- Blood pressure checked every year
- Rectal exam every year
- PSA blood test every year
- Hemoccult every year
- Chest X-Ray (discuss frequency with your physician)

- Colonoscopy every ten years
- TB skin test every five years
- Tetanus booster every ten years
- Bone Density at age 60
- Testosterone screening (discuss frequency with your physician)
