Magnolia Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Schmittou to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Stephanie has served in various leadership roles throughout her tenure at MRMC and has been instrumental in advancing the hospital’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care to the community. In her new role as COO, she will oversee day-to-day operations and continue to lead initiatives focused on patient care, efficiency, and growth.
“Stephanie’s dedication, experience, and leadership make her a natural fit for this position,” said William Giles, Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited about the future and the continued impact she will have in this expanded role.”
Stephanie received her Associate of Nursing from Southern Arkansas University in 2000, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University in 2006, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2017. She began her career at MRMC in January 2001 as a Registered Nurse. Stephanie was an Emergency Department nurse for 12 and a half years, and the Director of Outpatient Services for three years. She was named Chief Nursing Officer in 2017.
