Medical/Surgical Unit

The Magnolia Regional Medical Center’s medical/surgical unit has thirty beds for acutely ill adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The unit provides close monitoring and nursing care based on diagnosis and nursing assessment. Nursing staff work closely with the discharge planning team and your physician to develop an appropriate plan of care for your hospital stay and after discharge.

The Medical/Surgical Unit includes specialized services, including telemetry monitoring, IV medication and monitoring, blood and blood product transfusions, wound care, and patient education. It is staffed around the clock.

Intensive Care

The ICU/CCU Unit is a six-bed unit located within Magnolia Regional Medical Center. It is staffed 24/7 by registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Coronary Care Nursing.

The unit provides maximum surveillance, support of vital functions, and definitive therapy to patients.  Conditions treated in ICU include, but are not limited to, Congestive Heart Failure, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Chest Pain, Hypertensive Crisis, Multiple System Failure, and Trauma.
