Employment at Will
Employment at Magnolia Regional Medical Center is at will. This means that either the employee or the Hospital may terminate the employment relationship for any reason, with or without cause or notice. Nothing contained in the Handbook, nor any statements contrary to this at-will policy, are valid.

Employee Health Requirements
All applicants are required to have a tuberculin (TB) skin test within the first 10 days of hire. The employee Health Nurse will screen new employees to determine the need for the following vaccines: MMR, Varicella (Chickenpox), and Hepatitis B. Upon the employee health nurse’s determination of need, the vaccines will be provided at no cost to the employee.
Annually, the hospital provides the employee tuberculin (TB) skin tests, influenza (flu) inoculations, and other inoculations as unusual situations arise
Employee Orientation
An orientation program is required that all new employees attend these orientation programs, within the first 90 days of employment. The orientation program reviews general policies, rules, and regulations of the hospital, employee information handbook as well as fire safety, and disaster manuals, paging codes, key personnel and departments, Medical Staff and Board of Commissioners, infection control, personnel policies, organization structure of the hospital and any other mandatory programs. An acknowledgment card will be signed during orientation and left with the Human Resources Department.
