Medical/Surgical Unit
The Magnolia Regional Medical Center’s medical/surgical unit has twenty-five beds for acutely ill adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The unit provides close monitoring and nursing care based on diagnosis and nursing assessment. Nursing staff work closely with the discharge planning team and your physician to develop an appropriate plan of care for your hospital stay and after discharge.
The Medical/Surgical Unit includes specialized services, including telemetry monitoring, IV medication and monitoring, blood and blood product transfusions, wound care, and patient education. It is staffed around the clock.
