What is 3D/4D Ultrasound?
All ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your baby. A 3D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional image of your baby. A 4D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional live video of your baby.
What can I see?
A 3D/4D ultrasound allows you to see detailed features of your baby. You can watch your baby move, yawn, and more during your session. You can also confirm gender if you wish.
Is it safe?
Yes! All 3D/4D ultrasounds are considered safe.
When should I have one?
For the best images, 3D/4D ultrasounds are recommended between 25-32 weeks of your pregnancy.
How much does it cost?
A 3D/4D session at MRMC costs $100. This fee must be paid prior to receiving your ultrasound. Most insurance plans do not cover the cost of a 3D/4D ultrasound.
