
The Medical/Surgical Unit at Magnolia Regional Medical Center consists of thirty beds for acutely ill adolescents, pediatrics, adults and geriatric patients. The unit provides close monitoring and nursing care based on diagnosis and nursing assessment. Nursing staff work closely with the discharge planning team and your physician to develop an appropriate plan of care for your hospital stay and after discharge.
The Medical/Surgical Unit includes specialized services including, but not limited to, telemetry monitoring, IV medication and monitoring, blood and blood product transfusions, wound care and patient education. The unit is staff around the clock.
The Medical/Surgical Unite provides Swingbed services, which are short-term skilled rehabilitation beds for recently hospitalized patients if needed during their transition from hospital to home. Services can include nursing services, occupational and/or physical therapy, respiratory therapy, wound care, and completion of IV antibiotic therapy.
